THE GOVERNMENT INSPECTORATE OF VIETNAM

The Government Inspectorate of Viet Nam hosted a reception for the delegation of Ministry of Public Transformation and Service of the French Republic and French Embasssy in Viet Nam

As authorized by the leader of the Government Inspectorate of Viet Nam (GIV), on March 31, at the headquarters of the GIV, the Department of International Cooperation and some relevant units hosted a reception for Delegation of Directorate-General for Public Administration and Civil Service (DGAFP) and the National Institute of Public Service (INSP) and the Embassy of France in Vietnam.

On behalf of GIV, Mr Nguyen Tuan Anh, Director General of the International Cooperation Department chaired the meeting.

Attending the meeting, on the side of the GIV, there were Mr. Ngo Manh Hung, Deputy Director General of the Anti-Corruption Bureau; Mr. Nguyen Duy Dong, Deputy Director General of the Department of Organization and Personnel; Mr. Nguyen Viet Thach Vice Principle of Inspectorate Training School.

On the side of the Embassy of the French Republic, there were Mr. Béla Hegedus - Cooperative Attaché in charge of Justice, Legal and Administration; Ms. Tran Lan Huong, in charge of management cooperation; On the side of the Ministry of Public Affairs and Transition, there were Ms. Faustine BENTABERRY, Director-General of the Cooperation, Partnership, and Prospects Department; Ms. Sandra SENICHAULT, International Project Manager, On the side of INSP, there were Mr. Alexandre Tran Chuong, Senior Project Manager and International Partner in Asia and the America Region.

At the meeting, Ms. Faustine Bentaberry gave a brief introduction about DGAFP and French policies on public affairs; Mr. Alexandre Tran Chuong introduced the training programs of INSP. At the same time, the two side discussed potential cooperation contents between the Government Inspectorate of Vietnam and the Ministry of Public Affairs and Transformation and INSP in the near future.

The areas of cooperation that GIV concerned include: Public integrity, asset declaration, asset verification, corruption asset recovery, IT application in asset declaration and management of declarations, public service ethics, code of conduct, inspection process, and conflict of interest control.

Regarding the ways of cooperation, the Government Inspectorate of Vietnam proposed to cooperate by sending experts to exchange knowledge and professional experience and law; coordinate in organizing seminars, conferences, trainings on legal and professional experience; coordinate in organizing short-term training courses (in Vietnam, in France or in both Vietnam and France).
