Government Inspector General Doan Hong Phong received a courtesy call by the French Embassy in Viet Nam

On June 15, in Hanoi, Inspector General of the Government Inspectorate of Vietnam (GIV) Doan Hong Phong had a courtesy meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic in Vietnam and his associates. Receiving the delegation were Mr. Nguyen Huu Hoa, Director General of the Department of Organization and Personnel; Mr. Nguyen Manh Huong, Chief of Office and Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh, Director General of International Cooperation Department.

At the meeting, on behalf of the GIV, Inspector General Doan Hong Phong warmly welcomed Mr. Nicolas Warnery, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic in Vietnam and his associates.
The Inspector General said that the year 2023 marks many important events between the two countries celebrating 50 years of their diplomatic relations (1973 - 2023) and 10 years of their Strategic Partnership (2013 - 2023). Over the past half a century, despite all the ups and downs, the friendship between Việt Nam and France has become stronger and more effective in all fields. 
Especially, in the past time, the GIV and the French Embassy in Vietnam have implemented many effective cooperation activities, in which the most prominent is cooperating to organize 08 training workshops to share experiences in the field of inspection, anti-corruption, with the participation of many seasoned experts from France. 
GIV considers it an useful reference source of information, to help the civil servant team to better perform their assigned tasks.
In the coming time, the two agencies are working closely to develop a proposal to organize 02 training courses, 01 virtual and 01 physical course, with the target audience being civil servants of the Vietnam Inspectorate sector, which is scheduled to be held in the fourth quarter of 2023. The Inspector General hopes that these two training courses will achieve the best results.
The Government Inspector General also expressed his sincere thanks to the Ambassador for his attention and to the colleagues at the French for enthusiastically connecting the French partner agencies to prepare for GIV high-ranking delegation to pay a working visit to France. It is hoped that this working visit will contribute to promoting cooperation, establishing a regular coordination mechanism between GIV and French relevant agencies to promote and renew methods of cooperation, thereby improving the effectiveness of future cooperation  activities.
Delivering his speech at the meeting, the French Ambassador emphasized that anti-corruption work is an important field of cooperation between France and Vietnam. In particular, the Government Inspectorate is the focal point to maintain inter-sectoral coordination between ministries and central agencies as well as with localities.
The Ambassador released that the issue of anti-corruption in France and Vietnam is equally important. And over a period of time, France has had a number of specialized tools to deal with this problem.
Also at this meeting, the Ambassador said that there are many training schools in the field of administration in France, notably The National Institute of Public Service (INSP). Accordingly, the Ambassador wished to establish cooperation between the INSP and the Inspectorate Training School of GIV in the future. At the same time, he expressed his pleasure that in the coming days, the Government Inspector General and his delegation will visit and work in France.
On behalf of the GIV, Mr. Doan Hong Phong thanked the Ambassador for his very kind words and hoped that in the coming time, the Government Inspectorate of Vietnam will continue to receive the effective support from the Ambassador and the French Embassy for the realization of specific cooperation contents.
