The special session of the General Assembly on challenges and measures to prevent and combat corruption and strengthen international cooperation was held from 2 to 4 June 2021 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, pursuant to General Assembly resolutions 73/191 and 74/276, as well as decisions 74/568 and 75/562. This is the first ever United Nations General Assembly special session against corruption (UNGASS), with online and in-person participation of representatives from member states, regional economic organizations, civil society organizations, and observers all over the world. Under the direction of the Government Inspector General, the Government Inspectorate’s working group in charge of the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) followed this Special Session via webcast.
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc recently presided over the Launching of the National Reporting system, the Center for Information and Direction of the Government and Prime Minister and announced the 1,000th online public service on the National Public service Portal.
On 17 August 2020, Mr. BUI Ngoc Lam, Deputy Inspector General of Viet Nam chaired an online conference on publicizing the Inspection Conclusion on the observance of the lawson land management and use at Da Phuoc international urban zone project, Da Nang city. Conference participants from the Government Inspectorate include members of the inspection delegation according to Decision No. 2906/QD-TTCP, members of the Supervisory Team, the Director General of Information Center Mr. NGUYEN Duc Thang; Representatives of People's Committee of Da Nang include Mr. TRAN Van Mien, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee and representatives from other relevant city departments and units.
The Central Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption (the Committee) held its 18th session on July 25, 2020, chaired by Party General Secretary, President and Head of the Committee Nguyen Phu Trong, to look back on its work of the first 6 months of 2020 and outline tasks and priorities for the last 6 months of the year.

For two days from 19-20/02/2017, in Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa province, the 24thMeeting of APEC Anti-corruption and Transparency Working Group (ACTWG) was held in the framework of the first Senior Officials Meeting (SOM 1) of APEC Vietnam 2017.Delegates from APEC member economies, several international and non-governmental organizations attended the meeting.

Mr. Wong Hong Kuan, the Director of CPIB. Attending the talk also included Mr. Yuen Siu Hong, Vice Ambassador of Singapore in Vietnam, H.E. Mr. Tran Đuc Luong, the Deputy Inspector and the representatives for the heads of some bureaus, departments and units of GIV.

Attending the talk and receipt included the Ambassador of Laos and Representatives of Heads of some bureaus, departments and units under GIV.
On 1/6, Deputy Inspector General Le Tien Hao warmly welcomed the delegates from the Board of Audit and Inspection of the Republic of Korea (BAI) leaded by Mr. Sim Ho, The Director of Audit and Inspection Research Institute (AIRI)-BAI.
On 26 May, Mr. Nguyen Huu Loc, Acting Director of International Cooperation Department and Mr. Phi Ngoc Tuyen, Deputy Director of Anti-Corruption Bureau with representatives of Heads of some departments, bureaus and units from Government Inspectorate of Viet Nam (GIV) warmly welcomed the Bangladeshi Delegation. Both delegations shared the challenges, experimental lessons on anti-corruption works.
