The Government Inspectorate held the stock-taking meeting for the first 5 months of 2021

On June 11, 2021, the Government Inspectorate of Vietnam (GIV) held a meeting to review progress for the first 5 months of the year and the main tasks of June 2021. The member of the Party Central Committee, Government Inspector General, Mr. Doan Hong Phong chaired the meeting with the participation of all Deputy Inspectors General, Mr. Dang Cong Huan, Mr. Tran Ngoc Liem, Mr. Bui Ngoc Lam, Mr. Tran Van Minh and directors of all GIV’s departments and units.

As mentioned in the meeting, in response to the complicated situation of COVID-19 pandemic in the first 5 months of 2021, all GI’s departments and units actively carried out and completed all activities and tasks under the GIV’s approved plans and directions.

Regarding inspection work, the departments continue to carry out 34 inspections, of which 12 are under the process of directly inspecting, building and completing 16 inspection conclusions; issue 6 inspection conclusions, 6 notices on inspection conclusions; report to the Prime Minister with the results on monitoring the implementation of 3 inspection conclusions; issue the detailed plans of Government Inspectorate’s activities of inspection for 2021 and notified the inspected subjects.

Regarding the reception of citizens and handling of complaint and denunciation letters, the Central Citizen Reception Office received 1596 turns of people to present 1264 cases. There were 111 turns of large groups; received 5181 applications, processed more than 5,000 applications; review, conclude and report to the Prime Minister 4 assigned cases; continue to carry out the inspection, review and settlement of large, complicated and prolonged complaints and denunciations under the direction of the Prime Minister and the Government Inspectorate 's Plan; promulgate 11 reports and conclusions to send to the Prime Minister on the results of review and settlement of 10 assigned complaints, denunciations and recommendations; implemented many solutions in the reception of citizens, settlement of complaints and denunciations, contributing to ensuring the security and order situation and the success of the 13th Party Congress, the 15th National Assembly election as well as the election of People's Councils at all levels for the term 2021-2026…

Regarding the anti-corruption, GI continued to perform the tasks according to Decree No. 130/2020/ND-CP; developing a scheme on the national database of assets and income control; drafting the Regulation on coordination between agencies controlling assets and income; formulating a Circular detailing the list of domains under the Government Inspectorate's state management and the time limit for which persons with positions and powers are not allowed to establish, hold managerial positions or conduct management tasks in a private enterprise, limited company, joint-stock company, joint-venture company or cooperative after holding a position in the agency; implement plans, guide ministries, branches, localities and relevant agencies to summarize the implementation of the National Strategy against corruption until 2020 and the UNCAC Implementation Plan; develop the UNCAC final report; complete the report on the results of the evaluation of the anti-corruption work of the localities according to the set of the provincial-level anti-corruption assessment indicators in 2019…

Regarding the implementation of the plans and tasks assigned in the Resolution No. 01/NQ-CP dated January 1, 2021 of the Government on the Action Plan on the implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, GI’s departments and units continue to carry out 4 tasks assigned according to Resolution No. 01/NQ-CP and other plans such as: formulation of the bill of the Law on Inspection (revised); draft legal normative documents on anti-corruption...

In conclusion of the meeting, the Government Inspector General, Mr. Doan Hong Phong re-emphasized some GIV’s outstanding results in the first 5 months of 2021. For the coming time, he requested the departments to focus on reviewing the work as planned, under the direction of the Government, the Prime Minister and the direction of the Government Inspectorate; completing the conclusions of the implemented inspections; preparing human resources to carry out planned inspections; solving the complaints and denunciations cases according to Plan No. 363, in which some cases are likely to heat up in some localities; continue to implement the direction of the Prime Minister on handling the situation of overriding complaints at central agencies... Besides, the Government Inspector General proposed to focus on formulation of the Bill of the Law on Inspection (revised) and the national database scheme on asset and income as well as draft decrees and circulars…
