Secretary of the Nam Dinh Provincial Party Committee Doan Hong Phong elected as the Government Inspector General

The National Assembly carried out the process of approving the appointment of a number of Deputy Prime Ministers, ministers and other members of the Government. After listening to the Standing Committee of the National Assembly reporting the results of the discussion, the Prime Minister explained and received opinions of the delegates, the National Assembly approved the proposal for the appointment of Deputy Prime Ministers, Ministers and other members of the Government by secret ballot.

Upon the voting result, the National Assembly discussed and voted to pass a resolution approving the proposal for this appointment. According to the approved resolution, Mr. Doan Hong Phong was appointed by the National Assembly to hold the position of Government Inspector General.

Mr. Doan Hong Phong is 58 years old (born in 1963), from Nam Dinh province. He holds Master degree of Economics, Bachelor of Politics. He is a member of the12th and 13thCentral Committee of the Party, and a Member of the XIV National Assembly.

In his working history, Mr. Doan Hong Phong has experienced positions such as: Deputy Director of Nam Dinh Department of Finance, Director of Nam Dinh Department of Finance, Secretary of Y Yen District Party Committee, Vice Chairman of Nam Dinh Provincial People's Committee. In 2015, at the 19th Congress of the Party Committee of Nam Dinh Province, Mr. Doan Hong Phong was elected as Secretary of the Nam Dinh Provincial Party Committee for the period of 2015-2020. After 1 year, he was elected to the 12thCentral Committee, a member of the 14thNational Assembly. In 2020, he was re-elected as Secretary of the 20thProvincial Party Committee, for the period of 2020-2025.

At the 13th Party Congress in January 2021, he was elected to the Central Committee for the term 2021-2026. At the 11th session, the 14thNational Assembly, he was approved by the National Assembly to be the Government Inspector General.
